Redecorating Your House For the New Year

If you are looking to start the year of 2009 in style then why not redecorate your house, bring in a fresh new look and get rid of the old look. Everyone sets New Year's resolutions about smoking, drinking and losing weight but why not transform your place of living and give it a fresh feel allowing you to begin the new year with a buzz, and a home you can be proud of.

The best idea is to start with the more important rooms, and you can't get much more important than the living room, as this is the room that you will invite guests, visitors, family members and friends into when they come over, so it is key that you give a good impression. If you happen to be on a budget, which most people tend to be on, you can revamp your living room for very little money. Some online stores do some superb offers in the January Sales and no doubt it is the best time to do major shopping sprees like this. You can get a lovely looking fabric sofa for under £500, a complete TV package for under £500 and a coffee table for as little as £9.99 in some stores, add to that a few pots of paints and you can really change the look and update your living room.

Planning is the best practice and if you have organised and planned out your revamp then you can't go wrong. What I usually do when I think it's time for a new look is buy a notepad and get a pen and make a list of what I need for each room, price them up on some comparison websites and then get an overall price of what I need to pay out and then work around that.
