Quick and Easy Decorating With Christmas Wreaths

During the Christmas season we see many festive wreaths gracing the front door of beautifully decorated homes. A wreath on the front door is a warm and joyous way of saying, 'Welcome to my home.' I also like to display a wreath on the inside of the front door to wish our guests a Merry Christmas as they leave our home.

Wreaths should not be displayed solely on the front door to greet guests. They can be used inside the home as well, as a simple, but elegant way to decorate any room in the house.

Try hanging one on the door inside the powder room or guest bathroom to continue the warm and festive feel. Make your own handcrafted Christmas wreath and use the colors you already have displayed. Decorate it with Christmas picks, ribbons and Christmas balls.

Fresh wreaths add a special fragrance and yuletide charm in any room. Use eucalyptus and berries or fresh evergreens, berries and pinecones. There are many combinations to choose from and better yet, can be shipped directly to your door.

Children love to have their rooms decorated as well. Hang a wreath on the bedroom door and personalize it with his or her name. Decorate it in a special theme such as music, sports, pets, or best of all, good old Christmas. The wreath can also be hung on the wall over the bed. Your children will surely have happy dreams.

A large wreath over the fireplace is especially festive and beautiful. Complement your Christmas tree by using the same color scheme and theme you used on the tree. If you have no particular color scheme or theme, that's o.k. too. Most of us don't. We just do what we love.

Christmas wreaths are the perfect instant decorative touch that can be added in any room and in unexpected places. And if you use artificial wreaths, you can use them year after year. Just remember to store them properly. Check out my article on Christmas Decoration Storage under Christmas Tips.
