If you want to give your bar a new look and create a place to sit around and talk, eat, play a game or surf the web then you need to create a certain look that everyone will feel comfortable enough to be on. No matter what you want to do at your bar, here are some great tips to help you create the look you want.
When your kids are rushing to eat breakfast before school, they may sometimes feel sluggish. Creating a special place for them to eat their breakfast may perk them up and get them in gear before the bus runs. Yellow has been known to be a color that naturally enhances and inspires people. Make or purchase yellow placemats for each child, and place it down in the mornings so they have no other choice but to see it. Not every shade of yellow is right, you need to go with the primary color of yellow. When the kids get home from school, you need a calming color to set on the bar with their snack. All kids come home hungry and energized. Blue placemats are a good choice.
Your bar needs seats. There are stools and chairs that swivel and there are some that are stationary. You need to choose the one you like the most. Some people prefer to have stationary chairs with little kids in the house, to prevent them from falling down.
At least once a week, you need to have dinner for two. Set the kids at the table and serve their plates. Set a place for you and your spouse at the bar with candle light. Turn the lights down low and enjoy a relaxing meal with overdue one-on-one conversation.
When you have guests drop by, treat them to a refreshing drink while they sit and talk to you. The kitchen bar is a great place to discuss business, pleasure, the next carpool schedule, or church social. Accent the bar with a sports theme. If your family roots for a particular sports team, you can add the team colors to the bar so you can show your team pride.
If you don't have a bar in your house and you want to add one, there are several different bar plans to build yourself or to have someone do it for you. Look online for some of the most popular styles and designs in bars today. Some are considered perfect for families, for children, or just for adults. You can theme your bar according to what you like the most like casino or make it more like a pub. The bars are expensive but it should be a one-time investment. The choice is yours.
When building your bar, keep in mind that your preferences may change over the years and you may not always like a particular team in sports or you may not always like to drink alcohol. Make sure that you can create a new look without tearing down the bar.
