Solar garden lights are a cheap and super eco-friendly way to add that touch of classy light to your garden. NiCad batteries are used to fuel these nifty little light sources, which are charged all day, the whole day by sunlight. The lights are turned on and off automatically by light changes during sunset and dawn. Solar lights are available in mounted or flouting form in different colors, shapes and sizes depending on your preferences and budget of course. Solar lights are also a safe choice in and around water features including ponds.
Solar light types- Types of solar garden lighting include ground stake, hanging and spotlight. Ground stake solar lights consist of LED lights attached to stakes for easy penetration into rocky ground areas such as pathways, garden beds and patios. Solar panels powered the batteries inside the stake, which then power the lights when the sun goes down. Hanging solar lights come in the form of lanterns, gas lanterns and candles. Hanging solars are especially popular soft lighting options for English, French and Country gardens. Solar Spotlights are used to cast single light beams on fountains, statues and rocks. Spotlights are often as bright as floodlights but are much more focused on what you want to illuminate. They are great in areas with ?night sky? ordnances, which regulate how much light you can release into the night sky from your property.
No cheapies please- It is definitely recommended that you steer clear from cheap solar lights. Solar panels are significantly smaller and are unable to reach full charge, causing recharge batteries to burn out quicker.
