Five Great Uses For Bamboo Fencing

Bamboo has gained momentum in the interior and exterior design world in the last decade because of its organic make up, environmentally friendly conscious and the natural looking backdrop it creates almost instantly. Bamboo fencing is another sector that has become popularized for both inside and outside of the home. This type of fencing can be used as walls, room dividers, window shutters, ceilings and more. Add multiple panels together and create an exotic look in minutes.

Do some research on some of the best online providers and make sure the bamboo stalks used in the fencing is durable enough to withhold all of the potential uses you are planning for it. In the meantime, here are five ways to use bamboo fencing within your home.

1.    Attach the fencing to an already existing fence. If you live in an older home, you may be stuck with a type of fencing that doesn't suit your aesthetic. Your backyard may be lined with unsightly wood paneling or metal chain link fences. To create a sense of privacy and a far more appealing look, attach the bamboo to your existing fence to add some style to your outside living quarters. Because of its durability, bamboo can stand on its own, as long as it's installed within a heavy metal or wood frame.

2.    Use fencing to hide unattractive yard elements. We can all be blamed for this. Many backyards have outdoor items that have no other home than your beautiful alfresco living space. No matter what the item is, it adds a nasty element to your space. Use this type of fencing to hide your unsightly items or create some sort of storage system to neatly put away these items.

3.    This type of fencing can be used to create window borders or shutters. In many traditional homes, plain white shutters or blinds are often implemented to make shade through your window panes. For a more natural feel, have bamboo cut within the dimensions of your windows for a tropical and natural looking window border.

4.    Use bamboo fencing to line a room. It seems as if the idea and implementation of wall paper is long gone and bamboo is becoming the newest front runner when it comes to lining a room. Many homeowners love the look of this type of material along their walls because it adds texture and character to the room, along with a tropical look. Another great tip is to incorporate bamboo panels behind framed artwork to create an inspired look nearly instantly. Whatever type of artwork you have hanging will instantly pop out at you and your guests with bamboo behind it.

5.    Use bamboo to create a fashion forward divider within a room. If your entertaining room or communal living quarters are also the home to ordinary home items that you wish weren't for show when visitors are over, you can create a hiding area for them with the use of this fencing. Measure how much of the room you want to block off and use bamboo as a room divider to hide the eyesore. This type of divider is also a great idea for your office area because it creates privacy from the rest of the home and will help you to stay focused while the rest of the house goes about their business.
