For expectant mothers, buying a baby crib is not in their priority list. First, because there is a hesitation for mothers to look place their babies beside them in bed. Perhaps some are longing for their babies, especially for those who are first-time mothers. Second, they would put baby clothing as their priority than crib.
Baby clothes are usually the mother's priority when it comes to buying the needs of her baby. Just like human beings, babies as they come out in this world should have clothing that will protect them from harm. Baby clothing is really a must or should be the first in the list of baby's needs. Baby clothes are usually available in malls, department stores or in any baby stores. Moreover, just like adult clothing, baby clothes are classified as casual, outside wear or night wear. Next to baby clothing, feeding bottles should follow. Though some mothers prefer to put this item not in the priority list because some prefer to breast feed their babies, they should still buy feeding bottles before their due date as part of preparation.
Lastly, though it is not that very important compared to baby clothing, mothers should also look for baby cribs. They should start looking for one before their due date, perhaps two to three months before their due date. There are some tips to follow to get a good crib for the baby. First, the mother should look at the crib slats and drop sides. There are required measurements on these sides to secure the safety of the baby. The mothers should also check of the stability of the crib. They should try to shake crib before purchasing it. If there is a rattling sound, then mothers should thin twice. Because if this is the case, then it means that the crib is not properly put together and this might put the safety of the baby at risk. Most mothers are very particular with the design of the crib. Just like baby clothing, Disney is still the most popular design. There are also fancy designs. Usually these designs are those hanging above the crib. These are good because it means the baby could have a toy and a crib in one but mothers should note the choking hazards of the toys for babies. Some baby cribs with Disney designs also have Disney toys together with the crib. Lastly, mothers who had babies before will just use their old crib for their new baby. This is a good way of re-using some things at home but then again, they should check again the crib if it is still re-usable.
