There are several factors to consider in bedroom internal window design. In this review, I will provide some of the key factors to take into consideration while planning preparing to install or replace your windows.
• They must let in some fresh air: have them designed in such a way that they can allow some air to penetrate easily through out the bedroom. This is also affected by the height of the window and the direction of the house.
• Must provide some ventilation: Only expects can help assess your room and recommend the best ventilation method. There are some standard regulations that need to be adhered to when it comes to ventilation.
• Energy Efficiency: with the escalating costs of living one of the ways to save is by using windows that are energy efficient. I have written a lot about this topic and I will also emphasize its importance in bedroom internal window design.
• Must prevent unauthorised access: If your windows are on the upper floor of the house then you have nothing much to worry about when it comes to unauthorised access. However if you have them on the ground floor then you should consider having them designed in such a way as to prevent authorised access.
• Must provide some privacy: In addition to unauthorised access, they must also provide some form of privacy. We all know that the bedroom is the most private area in the home after or before the bathroom. Now while it is all well and good to have large windows, do take privacy issues into consideration.
